Our Story

GoKafé was born from a personal need for a better kind of energy. As a high-level hockey player, Lou, our co-founder lived the reality of needing sustained energy, focus, and performance without relying on drinks loaded with sugar and artificial ingredients. After surviving a cardiac arrest and going into ventricular fibrillation, that search became even more personal. It pushed him, to think differently about what energy should look like and to create something that could support performance without compromising health.

At the same time, his former junior hockey teammate Neb brought something just as powerful to the table: a deep connection to Ethiopian coffee through his family roots in the Guji region, one of the most respected coffee-growing areas in the world.

Together, they created GoKafé to challenge the energy drink category with something different, a cleaner, more natural source of energy made from real coffee, low in sugar, rich in antioxidants, and built for people who want to perform at a high level. More than a drink, GoKafé is the meeting point between resilience, heritage, and innovation. It is a brand built to fuel athletes, students, creators, and everyday high performers with energy they can feel good about.
